This year’s 59th Lexington County Peach Festival volunteers were honored with a Success Banquet celebration at T & S Farms on August 3. The Lexington County Peach Queens for the 2017 Junior and Miss Divisions were introduced, and Gilbert Community Club scholarship recipients for 2017 were recognized and awarded their scholarships of $350 each.
Students receiving scholarships were thanked and acknowledged for their service as volunteers at least three Peach Festivals during their high school years. Twenty-four scholarships were awarded this year. All recipients had been required to give at least three years of volunteer service with the Gilbert Community Club. The 2017 recipients are Arsi Adam, Alexandra Brown, Allie Crout, Blythe Faulkner, Dylan Frost, Jacob Gamble, Trace Harrell, Erin Holman, Andrew Kyzer, Carson Kyzer, Madi Lamb, Collin Leaphart, Kayla Lewis, Skylar Maroney, Cheyenne McCune, Leanne McCune, Emilee Oswald, Erin Pilot, Lara Pritchard, John Sanders, Robbie Stafford, Chase Swygert, David Walker, and Sarah Wood.
